It’s time for Naper Settlement to shed it’s old ways once again as they host the 2008 Naper Days, running June 13th through 15th. The festival is conveniently located in downtown Naperville at 523 S Webster near Naperville Central High School. This is a favorite event of all of us here at The Gammonley Group as it is just a few miles drive from our Seven Bridges Condominium Residences in Woodridge. While our Seven Bridges residents have the good fortune of living so close to downtown Naperville, we encourage all other Gammonley Group homeowners to take advantage of this community and family building event. This three day extravaganza has something for everyone, so bring the family and get ready for a fun packed weekend. Entertainment for kids includes a petting zoo, climbing wall, trolley rides, arts and crafts, and cooking demonstrations! Also for the kids, performances by Jim Gill, Amy Lowe and Radio Disney to name a few.

An array of local food vendors are sure to entice palettes all weekend long including Famous Dave’s, Sullivan’s Steakhouse and Cold Stone Creamery. Also filling the summer air with tantalizing aromas is the 3rd annual Blue Ribbon Baking Competition hosted by the Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club. Audiences will be dazzled by live music starting at 6:00pm Friday, 4:00pm Saturday, and 11:30am Sunday. Headlining the stage at 8:00pm on Saturday are the Gin Blossoms — alternative rock icons through the 90’s who have reunited and are once again touring.

Naper Days Bed RaceYou might be asking yourself, “What more could these Napervillian’s pack into one weekend?” Well, how about the Naper Days Bed Race, where teams of four turn mundane beds into asphalt tearing machines and race down the street on Saturday morning. Also, make sure not to miss out on Barnyard Bingo, which can only be described as bingo involving livestock, a grid lined field and and a whole lot of luck.
